Cylinder is made from Duplex Stainless Steel and is supplied with innovative components to ensure quick recovery, low heat loss, and designed to provide fast flowing hot water to single or multiple outlets.

Torrent Stainless OV thermal store allows the homeowner to utilise inputs from solar PV, a wood burning or gas boiler boiler to supplement the energy generated by a conventional boiler. The Torrent Stainless OV can be programmed to maximise all alternative energy sources, before diverting to a conventional boiler.
One of the benefits of the open vented boiler configuration is that the whole output of the boiler is available to the thermal store. This will provide an improvement in the operational efficiency of the boiler, reducing the primary energy usage and running costs.

How Much Do Vented & Unvented Cylinders Cost To Install?
As you can imagine the price for installation can vary dramatically depending on the size of the cylinders required and the amount of work required to upgrade your existing hot water system to mains water pressure. Each system is bespoke to the property.
What do our trained surveyors check on the survey?
- Test the incoming water pressure and and flow to ensure your property is suitable for the upgrade. If the pressure is to low we may suggest upgrading the incoming mains pipe or suggesting a water boosting system.
- Look for a suitable location for the cylinder
- Find a route for the pressure relief pipe ( for unvented cylinders only)
- Check to see if your showers will be compatible with high water pressure
- Calculate how much water the occupiers of the property are likely to use
- Check to make sure the existing heat source ( boiler, heat pump etc) is compatible
- Provide you with impartial advise and their honest opinion.
Other Important Considerations
Not all properties have sufficient water pressure and flow for an unvented cylinder or thermal store. If your pressure and flow is poor we recommend a booster system such as the DAB E.SYBOX.
